Now I know what you are thinking, Tesco. Now has anyone heard the saying: Don't judge a book by its cover?
This exfoliating face scrub contains cucumber extract for its natural moisturising and soothing properties which gently helps to care for your skin, and vitamin E which is an antioxidant that protects and repairs your skin. Oh, and let's not forget that it is suitable for all skin types. this gentle formula cleanses your skin, it gently exfoliates to help remove dead skin cells, and leaves your face feeling fresh and renewed. It is also dermatologically tested.
This facial scrub is contained in a plastic tube with a flip top lid. It squeezes out easily with only a gentle squeezing motion needed. The texture is clear and has a light cucumber scent. The actual scrub is quite thick, but besides that it is very easy to apply to the face. It contains fine exfoliating grains, which can't be seen very well, but can be felt when it makes contact with skin. These grains are very fine, but it is still recommended that you keep this scrub away from your eyes as the grains may get in and cause irritation.
How To Use: To start wet hands with warm water and then pour a small amount of facial scrub into them. Secondly, apply the scrub to your face in small, gentle circular motions. Thirdly rinse thoroughly with clean, warm water. To finish complete your normal skin care routine with your normal products.

However, I would remind people that you get what you pay for and this product only costs £1.50, so it is not going to be the best one out on the market, but I would recommend it as a first experience with a facial scrub.

Sympathy for the Skin:
Welcome to Perfect is a Perfect Word, the site where I show you the cheaper side of beauty.
Sympathy for the Skin:
Banana and cocoa butter on the skin - what more could be wanted? Oh, a gorgeous vanilla, lemon oil, labdaum and sandalwood perfume? Alright then.
Lush has packed this lotion with bananas, cocoa butter and vanilla to nourish and soften sore skin. They have used fresh and organic bananas that have been mashed up to make skin softer and more flexible. Lush has also added a vanilla pods and vanilla extract to combat redness, but also to soothe dry and chapped skin, lemon oil to brighten skin, and cocoa butter and almond oil
which helps skin to easily absorb the vitamin and mineral-rich bananas. Sandalwood is also added to this magnificent mixture as it is great for anti-inflammatory and cooling, but also for toning skin.

Lush clams that Sympathy for the Skin is the only banana body lotion with real, organic mashed bananas in it in the universe, saying: "Sympathy for the Skin is probably the only banana body lotion in the universe , and almost definitely the only one with real, organic mashed bananas in it." So this is defiantly not something that you should miss trying out. Despite the big price tag, I would defiantly recommend this lotion to anybody who is suffering from sore, dry skin.

Make-up, or No Make-up? (Part 2)
Welcome to Perfect is a Perfect Word, the site where I argue the freedom make-up gives us girls.
Make-up, or No Make-up?Part two of the two parts series where I argue both sides of that question.
This is a question that has divided woman across the world.
Should we stay as bare as we were the day we were born, or should we try and
spice things up? After careful consideration, I have chosen a couple of
arguments defending the former:
First of all, what if I told you that inner beauty is great, but a little mascara never hurts? I don't know if you have ever heard the quote about beauty and belief from Sophia Loren, but if you have then you know what I am talking about. She says: "Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful." If a little mascara is all it takes for a woman to believe that she is beautiful then why do people who are against make-up criticize that woman for wearing just a bit of mascara?

I don't know if you have ever heard the quote about beauty and belief from Sophia Loren, but if you have then you know what I am talking about. She says: "Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful." If a little mascara is all it takes for a woman to believe that she is beautiful then why do people who are against make-up criticize that woman for wearing just a bit of mascara?
Next I would like to point out that make-up is an art. What, you don't agree? Just look at all those successful make-up artists who have made a living for themselves by 'selling' their art. How is it different to Picasso or Van Gogh selling their paintings? Oh, and please don't think that those beautiful, talented make-up artists wear make-up because they don't feel pretty! No, they wear it because they enjoy the process of putting it on. Even though they have conquered the 'natural' look, the idea makes them cringe as bright, neon, flashy colours are more fun. They don't do it for the boys, they do it for themselves. Eyeshadow is their drug and Sephora, Mac and Ulta are their dealers. For them make-up isn't just a material, it is their passion.
Thirdly, I would like to share a quote from Kira Carl: "Make-up should never be used to hide yourself, it should be used to enhance your natural beauty." I think this quote is a motto that girls and women who wear make-up across the world should try and remember every time they put make-up on. I am a lover of make-up, and I totally support people who wear it, but it gets to a point where I can't stand seeing people who pile and pile the make-up on to their face every day. I mean take it easy! It's a face, not a colouring book. That said, when I say pile and pile I don't mean just putting on foundation, concealer, bronzer... I just mean the people who put so much make-up on that when they take it off, you can't even recognize them.
To finish I want to talk about the fact that make-up is a powerful way to effectively reveal something unique about your inner self. What I mean by that is that if you chose to go with a little mascara, a full face of make-up or even neon colours that it in itself shows something off about your personality. You can go for a red lip or a purple lip and even that small colour difference can let people know something about your unique inner self. Personally, I am a big believer of the quote by Bobbi Brown, which is: "I believing that all women are pretty without make-up and can be pretty powerful with the right make-up." That is why I am a big believer in make-up. You can chose to go simple or the completely opposite with unnatural colours, but it shows something off about you, it is your way of letting strangers know something about you with you even having to open your mouth to express yourself.

Make-up, or No Make-up? (Part 1)
Make-up, or No
Make-up?
Part one of the two parts series where I argue both sides of that
question.
This is a question that has divided woman across the world. Should we stay as bare as we were the day we were born, or should we try and spice things up? After careful consideration, I have chosen a couple of arguments defending the latter:
I am going to start off by saying that a smile is the best make-up a girl will ever wear. This old, cliché, cheesy saying is well known and most often overlooked by people, but needless to say that it is true.
Secondly, girls shouldn't wear make-up to impress guys. They shouldn't have to think that to get a boy that they have to look like a Barbie doll, the girls you see in magazines, (who are, for the most part, Photoshopped), or like all of the other girls in school. A quote that I have been seeing a lot lately is: 'Imagine, if all girls started wearing no make-up and comfortable clothes, guys would have no choice, they'd have to fall for a girl's personality and natural beauty.' I think that this alone speaks for itself.
To follow I am pointing out that over the past few years people have been pointing out the addiction most girls have to make-up. They get the feeling that they can't live without having foundation and eye shadow on. This, in time, could turn into quite a serious problem, so it is probably better that we encourage girls to go bare faced. As Macklemore once said: 'The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing women that they looked better in their make-up." I feel like wearing make-up just to walk five minutes through town to go to the supermarket, in case you bump into someone you know is silly. It's the same with clothes: would you put on a ball gown to walk a couple of minutes through town to go to the supermarket, just in case a prince just happened to walk past you and invite you to a ball.
To finish I would like to bring up something that everyone girl/woman who wears make-up will deny. They will tell everyone that it is false and that they don't wear make-up to feel prettier, but deep down in the darkest corners of their minds that very feeling will be locked away in chains. I'm not about to go into a long debate about why this is bad, and I know that lots of girls/women wear make-up to feel more confident, but is this really a good thing? You've all seen the posts, the rants, the debates about make-up and self confidence, so I won't plunge into that, as I would probably go on and on. Nowadays, lots of celebrities are joining in on the make-up and self confidence debates, and as Tyra Banks once said: 'I love the confidence that make-up gives me.' The problem with all this is that people don't want young girls to think that to be confident you have to hide behind a mask of make-up, after all make-up is self confidence applied directly to the face, isn't it?
Part one of the two parts series where I argue both sides of that question.
Now, I know I have just defended not wearing any make-up, but that is far from my point of view. I love, and wear make-up, but not enough that it changes my appearance. I think that we should encourage young girls to wear make-up, but, for example, if they have acne free skin we should not encourage them to wear foundation and concealer, as it does nothing to help them, it actually could make them more spot prone. Please stay tuned for part 2 of this series, where I will be doing the exact same thing, only this time I am for make-up and not against it.
